This issue explores the intersection of communication and law in advancing sustainable development, particularly through the utilization of renewable energy. Communication is understood as a strategic instrument to foster community participation, strengthen multi-stakeholder partnerships, and ensure the sustainability of programs. At the same time, law serves as the regulatory framework that provides legitimacy, protection, and direction for communication practices in development.

The issue highlights how participatory communication and legal frameworks complement each other in promoting energy independence, policy advocacy, and conflict resolution at the local level. The articles featured are expected to contribute to the advancement of development communication theory, energy law, and collaborative practices among stakeholders.

This issue presents a range of interdisciplinary studies exploring the connection between law and communication within the current social, political, and technological landscape. The featured articles discuss topics such as freedom of expression, digital media regulation, journalistic ethics, and the role of communication in law enforcement and public opinion formation. Through both theoretical approaches and case studies, this journal aims to contribute significantly to the development of legal and communication sciences in Indonesia.

Penelitian ini mengkaji perlindungan hukum terhadap konsumen dalam praktik promosi penjualan barang berdasarkan Undang-Undang Nomor 8 Tahun 1999 tentang Perlindungan Konsumen serta menganalisis kedudukan anak luar kawin sebagai ahli waris dalam hukum waris nasional. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana regulasi memberikan kepastian dan perlindungan hukum bagi konsumen serta pengakuan terhadap hak waris anak luar kawin dalam sistem hukum Indonesia. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan hukum normatif dengan menelaah peraturan perundang-undangan yang berlaku.
