The peer review process at Journal of Accounting and Management ( JAM ) is designed to ensure the scientific quality of the articles published and to maintain the integrity and credibility of the journal. The following outlines the peer review process:

  1. Article Submission:

    • Authors submit their articles through the JAM online submission system.

    • The editor conducts an initial check to ensure the article’s alignment with the journal’s focus and scope and compliance with the submission guidelines.

  2. Initial Selection by the Editor:

    • The editor assesses the article’s academic quality, topic relevance, and adherence to the writing guidelines.

    • If the article passes the initial screening, it is forwarded to reviewers.

  3. Assignment of Reviewers:

    • Accepted articles are assigned to two or more reviewers who are experts in the article's topic.

    • Reviewers provide feedback on the article's strengths, weaknesses, and scientific quality.

  4. Peer Review Process:

    • The peer review process is conducted anonymously (blind review), where both the authors' and reviewers' identities are kept confidential.

    • Reviewers provide evaluations and recommendations on whether the article should be accepted without revisions, accepted with revisions, or rejected.

  5. Editor’s Decision:

    • Based on the review results, the editor decides whether the article will be accepted, accepted with revisions, or rejected.

    • If revisions are needed, authors are given the opportunity to revise the article based on reviewers' comments.

  6. Revisions and Resubmission:

    • Authors resubmit the revised article through the submission system for further review.

    • The editor and reviewers assess whether the revisions adequately address the concerns raised.

  7. Publication:

    • Once the article is accepted, it will be processed for publication in the appropriate journal issue.
